…. In game, complain

There’s no justification for not pinch-hitting for Zito in the bottom of the sixth, and absolutely no justification for having him start the fucking seventh. Are we expecting his

83 MPH fastball to throw a complete game here? Really bad de

cision by Bochy here, regardless of whether they give up runs here or not.

You get a 4-0 lead into the sixth with Zito, you have to treat that like you just won the lottery. Get him out of there, try and extend

your lead, and give the game to your bullpen. Letting him hit with two men on and two outs is just trying to win brownie points, and it’s total bullshit.

UPDATE: Nice win, even though it was close.

Thanks for the sensible critique. Me & my neighbor were just preparing to do some research on this. We got a book from our local library but I think I learned better from this post.

  2. I just find your website. I really like reading your articles! Great stuff. You have provided a lot of useful information to your readers.

C’mon guys. Yes, the better move would have been to pull him. But what small potatoes compared
to the job he is doing managing his staff and bullpen and his punch and judy lineup. And yes, E, we
know you were thinking the same thing and the people in the park are all brain dead oenophiles. Enough
    already.

The Sandoval Scenario: If you hit .300 with power and stay healthy then you’re a lovable, roly-poly panda. But if you hit under .300 without power and can’t stay healthy, then you’re a fat slob who is pissing away your talent. Right now Sandoval is about half of each. Maybe it’s unfair to criticize a guy for a few bad games, but if you refuse to stay in shape you deserve to be treated unfairly, and the odds are overwhelming you will get what you deserve.

My exact thoughts. Stupid Giants fans in the park were totally oblivious. No wonder they sell panda hats.

San Francisco Giants fans. Great supporters. Refugees from the wine tasting tours. They have a very low bar.

no day off tomorrow. even with extra arms in pen, bochy may be worried about vogey going 6 in rox city

He had to get the nine outs with his relievers anyway. My point is that it was predictable that Zito would not be able to keep getting outs. Bochy had already hit the jackpot. Doubling down there is a losers move.
