…. Busting out

After last night’s home run, here’s what Buster Posey has done since the end of the All Star game:

43 hits,

9 home runs, 32 RBI .443/.509/.79

4 1.303 OPS

With 23 home runs and 75 RBI, season averages of .330/.401/.546 .947 OPS, and all the intangibles of a real leader; and with the Giants continuing to hold off the Dodgers and D’Backs, he’s emerged as a clear MVP candidate.

Only Andrew McCutcheon has an edge on him, and with the recent struggles the Pirates have had, Posey might even be ahead.

So now Cabrera is gone. I’m so sick of Brian Sabean teams and his fucking assholes he scrounges every year. Mota, Cabrera, Huff, Sanchez, Zito, Rowand, Roberts, Bochy, DeRosa, Theriot, Fontenot, Keppinger, Guillen, LeDe. It just goes on and on and on and on. Shitty bandages, gauzepads, old-timers, has-beens. 2010 was the fluke. Same old shitty kind of team every year. Unlikeable faceless useless turnstiles, a couple of decent younger players, and a couple of highly paid usefuls.

If they’re not too stupid to avoid ped detection in the year 2012, they run like ass-brains on the bases, or have no plan at the plate, and are never quite 100 percent focused. Sixteen years of Sabean teams loaded with assholes like this, killing the drill and apparently 50 percent of the starting rotation has finally taken a shits; at least on an intermittent basis.

Disgraceful performance given his huge budget, and weak division rivals. Only in San Francisco: “Failure is a hell of an option, as long as we sell panda hats.”

He’s gotta go. Gotta change. 16 years is far too many. Take a hike Brian. How he had no suspicions about Cabrera after KC is bullshit. If he didn’t, he’s further out of the loop than even I thought. And Mota too. Nowhere anywhere has a MLB club lost two guys for 50 and 100 games for peds except dipshit Sabean. Nice due diligence shitbag.

Well, E, to be fair….would you have rather had half of a season of Jonathan Sanchez? I think the Giants won that trade, testosterone or not.

Cabrera has been sporting a ridiculous BABIP this year, which does help his incredibly high batting average. But you’d have to be a fool to not wonder what happened to him after Atlanta told him to get lost and he suddenly “turned the corner” in KC for no explicable reason. I tend to believe that there is no drug that can help you hit a baseball, so at least he has that going for him, which is nice.

I’m a huge Sabean basher for the exact free agents you mentioned and I agree with you 100%, except for Cabrera who was cheap for what he produced this year. But the team is a game out of first and you’re throwing around words like “failure”? Come now. You yourself said 2010 was a fluke, so this season should be gravy.

He’s a candidate for sure, but having Melky in the lineup probably dings his chances slightly. At the moment, I’d give the edge to McCutchen. He has carried that offense for long stretches this year. This award can easily be won in September, though. See: Jones, Chipper. Lots of baseball left to play.
