Oh yeah, I read the guy's piece. I just think the guy could've left out any mention of steroids and attributed it to SSS, and the piece still would've been fine. I prefer to stay away from steroid speculation altogether when I look at a player.

Aaron,

Read the whole blog post. The guy goes into tremendous detail examining every possible explanation as to why Ibanez might have been banging so hard.

Hello,

My name is Jacqueline Fitzgerald and I work for Los Angeles-based Teleflora www.teleflora.com.

For Father’s Day, Teleflora is teaming up with the Prostate Cancer Foundation http://www.prostatecancerfoundation.org to help raise awareness for prostate cancer and raise funds for research. Prostate cancer strikes one out of six American men.

As part of the partnership, in conjunction with the launch of Teleflora’s new baseball-themed bouquets, Big Hit and Play Ball, Teleflora will be making a donation to the Foundation. Additionally, Teleflora is running a sweepstakes in which the grand-prize winner will take a three-day baseball journey for two, with tickets to two major league games.

For more details, visit: http://www.teleflora.com/press-release-57-teleflora-fathers-day-flower-gifts.asp. To see images of our Father’s Day flowers, go to: http://www.teleflora.com/fathers-day/flowers-plants-gift-baskets-79816_79817c.asp.

Because this is a feel-good gift that makes a refreshing change from giving Dad ties or slippers, it could be a fun blog post. I would be happy to provide images or discuss the possibility of a bouquet giveaway for one of your readers.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Best,

What, going from the AL to the NL + an easier hitter's park (I think, though I'm not 100% on that) + getting to hit Nationals pitching isn't enough = hot streak isn't good enough for the MSM?

It's the natural result of the mess MLB and the press made of this issue. If you go through a stretch that's better than normal, people will raise an eyebrow.

What's more, his reaction will probably end up hurting him. He angrily said that he would 'take any test, any time,' but the union will certainly put a stop to that. And when he reverses himself, it will raise even more suspicion. To say nothing about the likelihood that his numbers will normalize at some point, and people will wonder if the drop-off was "because he stopped juicing."

Better to have offered a simple and straightforward denial than to fan the flames.

John,

Enough of the roids. The MSM is grasping for straws. It's way old.

The Gigantes are four over and gaining momentum. Going for a sweep and coming home to face the the A's. Will good to see how we match up against the Rangers.

Uribe is proving to be a good addition. I was completely wrong...and Pablo is only going to get better.

I feel the wild card is ours to have...just need to learn to take care of the Pads and beat the teams we should. I realize I'm in the minority that thinks the Gigantes have a legit shot...but, I watch the other teams play weekly...and we are better.

Good pitching beats good hitting most of the time...and that is our strength.

It can be done.

I guess this is going to be the case from now on? Anyone over the age of 30 who has a season, or apparently a part of one, out of line with his career numbers is going to be questioned about PED's.

This makes me sad.
