…. Hall of Fame

With all of the talk of Rickey, Raines and Rice, Jeff Kent just announced his upcoming retirement announcement(huh?). Kent seems like a shoo-in for the Hall of Fame, and I’d like to remember him as an intense competitor –albeit an asshole– and one of the greatest Giants of all time.

mean I just read through the entire article of yours and it was quite good but since I’m more of a visual learner,I found that to be more helpful.。。。。

Yes, definitely – while he may have been a dickhead, I doubt there was a day he mailed it in. The game’s on the field, and he got it done. Top 10 all-time second baseman in all kinds of categories. Ought to be a shoo-in.

This is something we agree on John. Jeff’s 6 years as a Giant were outstanding and he continued this peak for his two years in Houston and 2 of his four years in LA. He is both one of the all time great secondbasemen and one of the all time great Giants.
