Woohoo! Ray Durham was just dealt for some prospects... FINALLY the type of logical trade we should have been doing for the past few years.

John,

The team that would make the most sense for Bonds is the Angels. Close to home...and in dire need of run production....and enough money. I do not think Bonds would want the East Coast bias...and all the BS that goes along with NY. Why the Angels have not signed him...makes a good argument for collusion. They need him the most.

Dollar for dollar....the Gigantes are the worst team money can buy. Definitely know how to play in front of the home folks. Might be the worst home record in SF Gigantes history. How this team continues to draw is mind blowing. An unwatchable product. How much longer can you continue to run that line-up out there. No offense...but Omar should hang em up. Kruk and Kuip need to start telling it like it is.

+mia,

Turn out the lights on your way out.

Watching Barry Bonds would be great fun, no matter who he plays for. I hope the Yankees get it done and score 7 runs a game.

Just yesterday A's right-hander Joe Blanton was traded to the Phillies for three Minor Leaguers: second baseman Adrian Cardenas, left-handed pitcher Josh Outman and outfielder Matt Spencer. It seems likely that this rumor about Matt Cain became history once the Phils struck this deal with Oakland.

If the Yankees sign Bonds we should be able to hear the New York fans howling clear out here on the Pacific Rim and I, for one, will enjoy watching Yankees games for the rest of the season. Can you imagine when Bonds steps to the plate at Fenway as a Yankee? There will be a noise.

Well, if by "intriguing package" you mean Reid Brignac, David Price, Wade Davis, Jake McGee, and Desmond Jennings from the Rays, then I'm all for it. Or Jason Heyward, Brent Lillibridge and three of the four top arms in the Braves' system. If it means a group of B and C prospects, I'm going literally to feel sick.
